New GM and CEO poised for Holmwood expansion
Holmwood have just announced the appointment of Mike Mullen as the new General Manager and Tony Jenkins as Chief Executive Officer for the Holmwood Group.
Previously holding the role of Holmwood CFO, Mr Mullen will now manage the day to day running and operational aspects while Mr Jenkins will oversee and drive the growth of the Holmwood Group.
With over 20 years experience consulting to Harcourts, Mr Mullen is now responsible for working with CEO Tony Jenkins, who previously held the General Manager role, to drive the growth and future of Holmwood as the group prepares for the next phase of business development in the Christchurch and South Island regions.
“We are really excited to have Mike onboard in this role to continue and develop the vision to deliver Holmwood’s business goals to reality. One of those goals, having come a long way in the last three years, is to expand our residential, property management and commercial portfolio. The progress we have made since changing ownership is now pushing our momentum forward and capitalizing on the growth of Harcourts in these areas is now priority,” says Mr Jenkins.
As one of the leading franchise groups in the South Island, Holmwood are known for having a large group of quality sales consultants, particularly strong in the residential side of the business now with an even stronger outlook toward property management. With a new division in Merivale the growth of the Wanaka office and existing rent roll of Ilam office the Group continues to priorities quality service delivery positioning for further growth over the next quarter.
Tony has been in real estate for twenty four years with twenty of those at Harcourts. Tony has received numerous sales awards with his best year in 1995 claiming Number Two nationally for Harcourts Group and Top National Auction Lister. As one of the founding partners of the Harcourts Invercargill office in 1991, Tony then opened the Gore office in 1999 then to purchase the Wanaka office in 2005. In 2009 Tony purchased the controlling share of the very successful Holmwood Group, which operates five sales offices in Christchurch and three property management businesses. Tony has been on the committee of the Real Estate Institute for twelve years serving three years as President of the Southland District. A career highlight for Tony was receiving the Best Practice Award in 2009 from Best Practice Managing director Robert Bevan for his contribution to the real estate industry. Tony's focus is always on the delivery of first class service to his company's clients and to support and grow his very loyal team.
Joining Harcourts in 1992 with Harcourts' Grenadier franchise, Mike has had extensive experience in running finance teams within Harcourts. After four years as Finance Manager Mike joined Harcourts' Gold Real Estate Group in 1996 as Finance Manager where he held the role until 2009.
In 2009 Mike joined Harcourts Holmwood in the role of CFO also engaging in various consultations with the Harcourts Group during that time. Mike assisted in carrying out selected financial projects and was involved with the Massey University Finance Course working alongside Graham Crews. Mike has enjoyed twelve years as CFO now taking on the role of Holmwood General Manager moving into the 2012/2013 year.
